Daily Experience and Creation of the Human Environment

——International Academic Workshop

CONFERENCE INTRODUCTION

On the sixth anniversary of the G20 summit in Hangzhou, the workshop will be co-hosted by the School of Philosophy, Zhejiang University; the College of Media and International Culture, Zhejiang University; the International Council for Philosophy and Human Sciences (CIPSH); Hang Seng University of Hong Kong; Tencent; Asian New Humanities Net (ANHN)Hangzhou Normal University.

In order to discuss the future of human society from the perspective of philosophy and humanities, and to promote the communication and exchange of philosophy and humanities, we set a workshop for scholars from different countries and nations.

The basic idea of the workshop is Looking for the next Human Habitats. The idea is to examine the latest reflections in the humanities and critical social studies, and to understand how human societies have gone to where we are cross-culturally. The idea includes the developments in market economy, global population growth and migration, production and consumption, ways of life in cities and the countryside. Those have led to worries to the Sustainable development.

Focusing on 2-3 topics, leading academics in philosophyaestheticsphenomenology and other human sciences are invited to give keynote speeches on the workshop.

This workshop is a warm-up for the Hangzhou Conference in September 2023(same theme as this workshop ). Participants are welcome to attend the offline conference next year.

LIST OF TOPICS

Topics of interest include but not limited to:

1. Daily LifeHabit Modification and Behavioral Change, and Its Theoretical Explanation;

2. Discussion of Two Evolutionary Patterns: Gradual Adjustments and Conceptual Groundbreaking;

3. Homo aestheticus or Game Players;

4. Other related issues.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Authors interested in the relevant topics, including postdoc researchers, are invited to submit papers to the workshop either in Chinese or in English.

Contributors are invited to send a title and an abstract in Chinese or English along with a short biography to hylwtg@163.com.

Abstract Submission Deadline: September 20, 2022

Acceptance Notification: October 5, 2022For invited scholars

Workshop: October 24, 2022(Beijing Time)

REGISTRATION

Registration and accommodation are free. Participants pay transportation at their own expenses.

OTHER DESCRIPTION

1. The English announcement is only sent to the authors. Foreign scholars do not need to provide the full text of the paper, but need to provide the title and abstract before October 5.

2. The workshop is a combination of online and offline, the online part is planned to be held on Zoom, and the offline venue is to be located in the Zhejiang University, Hangzhou;

3. The working languages of the workshop are English and Chinese, and simultaneous interpretation is arranged for the workshop.

4. The number of participants is expected to be 60-70.

5. Due to the limited duration of the meeting, in principle, doctoral students and postdoctoral fellows are not scheduled to speak at the meeting, but are welcome to listen to the meeting and we will arrange a special panel for them to ask questions and discussion.
